The National Student Clearinghouse mission is all about: Information Student
Loan
The National Student Clearinghouse (referred to as "information student loan" in educational inner
circles) or the NSLC provides information on how to locate student loans, loan deferment processing and several
other important services and benefits. The NSL provides an up to date data base of lenders who are waiting and able
to assist students with student loans. This makes it a one-stop shopping location for students who realize that
they will need further financial assistance with funding the cost of their education. There mission is: all about
information student loan.
With the online tracking system, students have the ability to actually track their student loan deferments
on-line. This can be a tremendous time saving option that provides peace of mind for students who are concerned
about whether or not their loans have actually been deferred. When considering assistance from NSL, it is important
to keep in mind that the student loan Clearinghouse does not actually make loans to students but instead works to
facilitate the transfer of information between students and lenders. This can make the process of enrolling and
receiving funds disbursed through student loans much simpler and less time consuming for both students and lending
institutions. Again, there mission is: all about information student loan!
While not all colleges throughout the United States use the NSLC, more than 2,500 of them do, so it’s a good
chance that your school is included in the list of schools participating in the NSLC registry. In addition,
numerous loan agencies work with the NSLC including the following:
- UNIPAC
- SallieMae
- Citibank
While not all loan agencies participate in the services provided by the National Student Loan
Clearinghouse (all about information student loan), students can still have their loan deferments processed
through the Clearinghouse in most cases. All they will need to do is to contact their loan agency and request a
deferment form. The schools financial aid office may then be able to process it through the Clearinghouse; provided
that they are registered. With the advantages provided by the Clearinghouse to students, lenders and schools;
everyone is able to quickly and easily stay on top of how much a student owes and where a student is in the
deferral request process.
